Registration for Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2017 is now open

The sixth annual global celebration of Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week will take place on 25 October-1 November 2017 under the theme “Media and Information Literacy in Critical Times: Re-Imagining Ways of Learning and Information Environments”.

The Global MIL Week 2017 highlights will include the Seventh Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue (MILID) Conference . This feature conference, hosted by the University of the West Indies, will take place in Kingston, Jamaica, on 24 October - 1 November 2017.

Global MIL Week and MILID conference will become a platform for sharing the latest research, projects, new ideas, and information among stakeholders and countries, involved in MIL, as well as among print and digital media. This year’s Global MIL Week feature conference will focus on how MIL can bridge the gap between learning in formal education environments and learning in other information environments.

One of the key events of Global MIL Week 2017 the Youth Agenda Forum will take place on 24 October 2017. The youth will be engaged in MIL activities through music, poetry, debates, collaborative work etc. If you are interested in participating in this event, please refer to the registration information below.

The online registration for the Global MIL Week 2017 feature conference is now open. Individuals who plan to attend the MILID conference or Youth Agenda Forum should register here. The deadline for registration is 20 August 2017.

All stakeholders across the world, who are interested in speaking in the feature conference, are welcome to submit paper or presentation proposals about MIL-related research, initiatives, programs, policies and other types of work and new ideas. Online submission is now available. Authors can submit their proposals here. The deadline for submission is 20 June 2017.
