International Conference "Global Ethics: Save the Planet Earth"

International Conference "Global Ethics: Save the Planet Earth" was held from 22 to 23 August 2013 in Astana (Kazakhstan).

The organizers of the event were National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO, the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations, and the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs.

The main issue of discussion was the promotion of sustainable development through global ethics based on universal human rights, intercultural dialogue and social justice for all.

The conference was attended by representatives from 15 countries of the world: philosophers, academics, artists, business community, civil society from Central Asia, Asia-Pacific and Europe, UNESCO experts on ethics and intercultural communication, youth education and cultural heritage.

It is important to note that the conference was attended by the youth wing of the UNESCO Clubs movement, whose representatives will also contribute to the establishment of global ethics after 2015.
