WikiGap edit-a-thon launched on 5 March 2020 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. 120 students, representatives from NGOs embassies and International organizations attended the event, organized by the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University and supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands. The WikiGap partnered by UNESCO Almaty, TEDxAbayStWomen, Manshuq Media, MobyDev.
UNESCO Almaty shared its experience in support of the Women in the Digital Space (Wiki4Women) on creation, enrich or translation of Wikipedia and other digital platforms profiles of outstanding women making a contribution to the social and economic development of their countries in the fields of education, sciences, culture, or others.The activity is devoted to the International Women Day on 8th March 2020. International Women's Day focuses on women's achievements, promotes the untapped potential of and opportunities for women, and advocates for an end to violence against women.
